The first movie deal David Hight achieved after relocating to Santa Fe, New Mexico is a part in the major production film, Woman Walks Ahead.  It is based on a true story starring Jessica Chastain.  It is the story of Catherine Weldon, a portrait painter from 1890s Brooklyn, who travels to Dakota to paint a portrait of Sitting Bull, and becomes embroiled in the Lakota peoples’ struggle over the rights to their land.  It is written by Steven Wright, who was nominated for an Oscar in 2004 for Best Writing and Original Screenplay for his work on Dirty Pretty Things.

You will see Woman Walks Ahead march into the theaters in the year 2017.
